The Gallery

We're redefining what a gallery can be. Instead of a quiet space that only comes to life for opening and closing receptions, our gallery is always alive. Every concert, workshop, club, and performance happens alongside incredible visual art. It's immersive and inspiring, allowing more people to experience art in a natural, exciting, and unexpected way.

We don't just hang pretty art on a wall—we surround people with creativity, sparking conversations, and give artists the exposure they deserve. Some visitors might never step into a typical gallery, but here, they can't help but be drawn in and discover art from around the world.

Art is meant to be experienced—that's why our gallery is always free to visit. We feature stunning contemporary art from student, local, national, and international artists. Whether you're a seasoned art lover or just curious, our space is yours to explore, connect, and be inspired.

As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we don't maintain regular weekday hours, but our gallery is open every Sunday from 1–3 PM. Plus, whenever we're hosting an event, the gallery is accessible almost all the time. So, even if you're not attending an event, you can stop by and enjoy our featured exhibit. Be sure to check our event calendar to see when we'll be open next.

Sydey Pinkerton
Critters & Characters
May 9 - June 28 2026

Critters & Characters, an imaginative debut solo exhibition at the Granville Center for the Arts, by 12-year-old artist Sydney Pinkerton.

Sydney has been making art for as long as she can remember, and when she finds something she loves, it tends to go into mass production. (Ask her about the 1,000 paper cranes.) Now, she works primarily in pen and ink with alcohol markers, blending intricate linework with vibrant color.

Her characters begin in different ways — some arrive fully formed, others emerge from a single circle and reveal their personality as the drawing unfolds. Alongside them live her blob-like creatures, inspired by Studio Ghibli, which cluster together and reproduce at an alarming rate.

A happy accident led to one of the exhibition's most distinctive elements. After nearly finishing the show on white paper, Sydney started doodling on the back of her sketchbook and fell for the warmth of the kraft board. That same day, she and her dad discovered vinyl record sleeves were made of the same material. Old, worn-out sleeves became the perfect canvas for expressive characters and whimsical creatures to call home.

Sydney usually draws while listening to records — The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Peter, Paul & Mary. This show is about mixing her love of art, music, characters, and critters. Stressful? Extremely. Worth it? Completely.
